​Boston School of Medicine demonstrates the history behind suturing and would closure, tools used in suturing procedures, needles, maneuvers, and removal of sutures. 

Instructional Video:​
Scenario: Students in my Veterinary Science class would use this webpage to go to for the instructional tools, videos of demonstration and the pre/post survey. I have attached a quiz to complete after the demonstration of multiple suturing techniques. Students in the class are also paired up with another student and they have a suture kit for themselves. They will be performing the sutures as they learn them. The instructor's video allows them to see me go through the steps and practice each maneuver as they would as well. 
Instructional Design: Goal-based scenarios. This unit needs to accomplish each objective in order to become proficient in each area of suturing. Students will build upon prior knowledge (starting with knot tying and ending with final sutures) to accomplish unit objectives.
